Claire…

I teach in schools and for over 20 years in every school i have worked in I have been blessed to lead gospel choirs, praising and worshipping our Lord and saviour with children of ages from 5-15 years.

Between 2014 and 2019 I also had the opportunity to lead the first children’s gospel choir in mainland China, where I was living at the time.

It has been the purest of joys! Teaching and singing the praises of our Lord with such open hearted and innocent souls, is something i could never have imagined having the privelege to be a part of.

I am still involved with gospel choirs in schools and at church, however i find myself praising and worshipping the Lord at any given opportunity, be it during my 45minute bike ride each way to and from work or in supermarkets, shops or public transport. I love filling the silence or hustle and bustle of neighbourhoods with the Lord’s song, as I pass through on my daily commute.

Although i have spent my life working to see children across London and China come to know of and feel God’s presence and sing His praises, this God given opportunity to sing with JustWorship completes something for me.

It is an answer to prayer to finally be around like minded people who clearly cannot wait until eternity begins to start worshipping, so are getting on with it now!?

It’s a chance for me to just be fully in His presence, worshipping alongside others who also just want to live for the Lord and grow in His Love.

  KIRSTY

Hi I’m Kirsty, a singer and songwriter, with a heart and passion for God!
I have known from a very young age, that there is more to life than chasing after worldly things.

As someone who thinks and feels deeply, I realise searching for life’s answers on our own can be a lonely place. So If I can bring to others what I already receive great joy in doing myself, which is singing and bringing out the heart of worship, then for me that is a double blessing.

In Matthew 5:13-16 Jesus uses the concepts of salt and light to refer to the role of His followers in the world.

Salt was used to preserve food, as well as a flavour enhancer.

In the same way salt enhances the food we eat, as followers of Christ we will stand out as those (hopefully) who enhance the flavour of life in the world.

In the analogy of light to the world, the good works of Christ’s followers are to shine for all to see.

“ You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden; neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on a stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others that they may see your good deeds and glorify your father in heaven”.

(NIV) Matthew 5.14

That is my personal mission statement, and through my love and worship for the lord, this is what I aim to achieve.

“Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called the children of God” – Matthew 5.9, NIV.

Thank you for your time and may you be blessed by reading this.
